SCH has welcomed back Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s Anthem of the Seas as she embarks on her 2022 season from Southampton.

Anthem of the Seas started her summer programme with nearly 4,000 passengers joining the ship for a short cruise to France. She then returned to Southampton where another 3,700 passengers embarked on the ship for a seven-night cruise to the Norwegian Fjords.

The 168,000 tonnes Quantum Class ship will make nearly 20 calls in Southampton during this season, offering a wide range of cruises in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.

SCH will provide full support for Anthem of the Seas during her turnaround calls in Southampton, handling passenger baggage, mooring and loading stores as Royal Caribbean operations move steadily back to pre-pandemic operation levels.

SCH Cruise Operations Manager Louis Colpitts explained: “After last year’s reduced cruise programme, it’s great to see Anthem of the Seas getting back towards full cruise operations. It will also mean that we will be scaling up our operations, with a full menu of support to ensure the ship and her passengers experience a seamless transit when they visit Southampton.”
