This 53 tonnes piece of oil well equipment, known as a Christmas tree, was headed out to Singapore on a Hoegh Autoliners vessel from Southampton but first it needed a heavy lift transfer from road transport to mafi. Offshore Christmas trees control the flow of a well as it pumps oil or gas and this unit is destined to be fitted on a rig in the Far East.
