SCH has increased its profile in the regional business community by becoming a member of the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce.

The commitment will enable the company to play a more prominent role in the business affairs of the region while at the same time bringing its capability to a much wider range of potential customers.

The aim will be to promote the company to a bigger audience, not only as a stevedore but also highlighting the services that sister companies such as recruitment agency Pathfinder Personnel, valet parking specialists Cruise and Passengers Services (CPS) and Portsmouth based port handling company Southern Maritime Services (SMS) all provide.

Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, the county’s largest independent not-for-profit business support and networking organisation, has nearly 2000 members ranging from small businesses to large corporate companies. It also provides support for international trade.

SCH Business Development Manager Simon Rowe explained: “The Chamber will provide a valuable platform for us to highlight the wide range of services that we provide throughout the group. It will enable us to further increase our profile in the port industry, besides showcasing the skills and capabilities that we can offer to customers outside this sector.”
