Southampton Cargo Handling (SCH) was founded as a stevedoring company in the port of Southampton in 1990 and was acquired by its current management in 2008 when it became part of the Independent Port Handling (IPH) group. Today, SCH is a leading supplier of port stevedoring services in Southampton , Portsmouth, Liverpool, while the company has also expanded its capability to include vehicle processing in Oxford and Sywell and other cruise parking services in Dover. In addition, the IPH group, through subsidiary Cruise and Passenger Services (CPS), is one of the UK’s major providers of cruise passenger parking.
