Our motorcycle centre in Central England is fast becoming a hub for bikes of all brands coming into the UK with four manufacturers currently utilising our skills and facilities.
Arriving in stillage cases straight from mainly overseas production lines, our first move is to unload the bikes by fork lift, scan and move them either into storage or straight into the PDI centre where the process starts to technically prepare them for the retail sector.
The menu of work extends from low level modifications or PDI through to assembly completion and detailed fitting of accessories, depending on the requirements of the individual manufacturer or retailer.
Our teams of skilled technicians are equipped to carry out standard modifications or complete bespoke packages of work on individual or fleets of bikes, using recognised manufacturer accessories.
Once complete, the bikes are ready for a rigorous road test where, again using a team of specialists, they cover a five-mile road test that enables us to carry out a detailed examination of the bike, testing each component including the electrics.
Once the feedback is checked and, assuming no further modifications are needed, a full valet will be carried out before the distribution process starts with a detailed quota control check. Bikes are then sent to the packaging department for delivery throughout the UK and Northern Ireland by van or bigger trailers to dozens of franchised or independent retailers.
With more than 10,000 bikes moving through the centre every year, each unit receives individual treatment, whether work is a PDI or an individual specification on top.
It means working closely with manufacturers and retailers to deliver what the customer wants and, by combining modern, secure facilities with a team of versatile skilled technicians; SCH Motoprep has become established as a leading centre of excellence in serving the UK motorcycle sales network.
Our Skillsets at SCH MotoPrep also expand beyond PDI – we provide research and development services to some brands and design companies whilst the projects are still under embargo.
Bespoke motorcycle transportation is also a service we provide, which compliments our event support, and press running in preparation services.
