SCH has renewed its support for Silversea Cruises, part of the Royal Caribbean Group, with the luxury cruise line scheduled to make five stops in Southampton during 2022.

The line’s newest vessel Silver Moon and established favourite Silver Cloud are making a combination of turnaround and transit calls in the port as SCH’s cruise ship schedule continues to ramp up post-pandemic.

Silversea is offering a range of itineraries to Scandinavia, Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.

While the smaller Silver Cloud sails to the Norwegian fjords in June, the new Silver Moon, with space for nearly 600 passengers, will be based in Southampton for much of September. She will sail on two cruises in northern Europe and to Lisbon.

SCH will replicate its operations for parent group Royal Caribbean by providing a turn-key port handling service, including baggage handling, mooring and stores loading.

Cruise Operations Manager Louis Colpitts explained: “Silversea Cruises offer a luxury level brand of cruising that demands a premier level of service in their port operations and we’re delighted to see them using Southampton again, adding to our busy 2022 season of cruise ship activity.”
